Fields of Variance Remixes

By DesertDwellers

Variant Field is a collaboration between Amani Friend of Desert Dwellers & Alex DeYoung; both proficient electronic music producers with over 40 years of combined studio experience. Their music is heavily influenced by hip hop, IDM, dub, downtempo, chill-out, ambient, and classical traditions; blending many sources of inspiration into abstract and cerebral soundscapes that are equally suitable for both the feet and the mind. ┬áThe intelligent and textured productions of Variant Field pulse with hypnotic-punchy beats, earth shaking bass, and blissful cinematic expansions and melodies …. occupying the spaces between sonic worlds.

After a few original eps on Desert Trax, the Variant Field track Fields of Variance was featured on Guadi’s compilation Everlasting (Iboga Records). Desert Trax is pleased to bring a set of remixes of Fields of Variance from Desert Dwellers, Chaos Control, and Chase the Lazer. It is filled with cinematic atmospheres and modern glitchy bass grooves.
