Variant Field is a collaboration between Amani Friend of Desert Dwellers & Alex DeYoung; both proficient electronic music producers with over 40 years of combined studio experience. Their music is heavily influenced by hip hop, IDM, dub, downtempo, chill-out, ambient, and classical traditions; blending many sources of inspiration into abstract and cerebral soundscapes that are equally suitable for both the feet and the mind.
