Fields of Variance Remixes

By DesertDwellers

Variant Field is a collaboration between Amani Friend of Desert Dwellers & Alex DeYoung; both proficient electronic music producers with over 40 years of combined studio experience. Their music is heavily influenced by hip hop, IDM, dub, downtempo, chill-out, ambient, and classical traditions; blending many sources of inspiration into abstract and cerebral soundscapes that are equally suitable for both the feet and the mind.  The intelligent and textured productions of Variant Field pulse with hypnotic-punchy beats, earth shaking bass, and blissful cinematic expansions and melodies …. occupying the spaces between sonic worlds.

After a few original eps on Desert Trax, the Variant Field track Fields of Variance was featured on Guadi’s compilation Everlasting (Iboga Records). Desert Trax is pleased to bring a set of remixes of Fields of Variance from Desert Dwellers, Chaos Control, and Chase the Lazer. It is filled with cinematic atmospheres and modern glitchy bass grooves.
